We all know that malwares and viruses are made to perform special task and affect your computer behavior. Recently Google spotted a specific malware which affects user search pattern and send traffic via proxy sites. Though affected user computer won’t even get to know that their system is infected.
Ad mentioned in blog post, Google announced a new warning message which will appear on search page of users infected with this malware. This warning message will look like this:

Here is an excerpt from official announcement:
“This particular malware causes infected computers to send traffic to Google through a small number of intermediary servers called “proxies.” We hope that by taking steps to notify users whose traffic is coming through these proxies, we can help them update their antivirus software and remove the infections.”
This is the first time I’m hearing such malware which is affecting search result on infected computers. Though, the only way to get rid of this problem is by updating your antivirus and using some effective antivirus and anti-malwares. I would suggest start using Trojan remover or Anti-malware byte along with your antivirus. For now, only Windows users are affected with this malware. Last year Google Added similar notification in Webmaster tool for infected websites.

Hi Harsh it was nice reading your article, I also suggest that keep looking at your internet connection when you are idle so that you can come to know that there is malicious code running in background. This is my personal view and not technical view.
That’s a nice tip Bhaveek. Thanks for dropping by and for your comment.
Thats a bit surprising to know that google search results are getting infected. Good to know though.
I thought that Google Search added a new anti virus system to detect malwares that were causing website redirects….

I thought that google is the secured place in the internet…
Even google can be messed up with brilliantly programmed malwares and viruses..
Google will take some steps to prevent this form happening again for sure:-)
Thanks for informing ,I update my Antivirus program on daily basis and Many guys uses cracked Antivirus programs please guys don’t use it ,it itself contain lot’s of Trojan horses which hackers place it for free so better go for trial or purchase one …Thanks
You guys are getting it all wrong. Its a virus detected by Google in recent days that are redirecting you to various sites using Proxy Servers. In order to counter that Google has installed their own anti-virus system in their Google Search that somehow accesses your computer and detects the virus when it tries to infiltrate and therefore it detects the virus.
I’ve never heard off this kinda malware which effects search result and send’s fake traffic vai proxy, may be it’s new…
