I sometimes get ideas from watching TV or movies and you can use it as a type of income. It depends on the person and how comfortable they are.
I don’t watch for hours, but sometimes use the TV to take a break. It would be better to spend most of your time to creating income, but there are things that need to be done like taking kids here or there, washing, dishes, sport, etc.

I know one guy with name Anish. His blog is dishtracking.com i guess. He posts about latest events that happened or going to be telecasted in TV on his blog.
I heard about a similar method last summer reading an interesting book on how to make money online. One of the ideas was to create a small niche site promoting a products you’ve seen in an advertising. Why? Simply because they spend hundred of thousands on advertising and PR, which means they are basically promoting your site.
Given the way people bond with their television sets in India, and most probably elsewhere too, this could indeed be the most profitable niche ever!
