No doubt Twitter is the viral marketing tool and one of the best way to drive free traffic to your blog. I have been thinking of creating a retweet club from long and thanks to Daniel from dailyblogtips.com . His idea inspired me and I started the retweet club some time back. I wanted to make it official earlier but I was busy with Shoutmeloud VPS migration and there fore had to delay it. Finally I have decided to launch this retweet club officially. If you are a blogger and looking to drive traffic to your blog, read the post carefully.

Hey Buddy
I’m trying to get only active bloggers who are also active on twitter. So any one who doesn’t qualify any of these .. Moderators might not accept him. So if you do not fulfill any of these criteria make sure you improve your twitter reach and I will personally let moderators let you in. :)

This is a very creative idea and a great way to get things out there and viral, as you can tell by the tweet count on this post. I have seen something like this before but it had a lot more fluff in it that wasn’t needed like Facebook share’s etc.

Im going to see how well I can do this, it’s kind of tough being in tanning season but as you all know Ill always give it my best.

41 Simran March 5, 2010 at 19:24

Thats a great move Harsh. One question – How will you track the statistics ? I mean how will you check whether a user is retweeting 75% of the links or not ?

Reply

42 Harsh Agrawal March 5, 2010 at 19:25

Hey Simran, Good question.
It’s hard to track such users at one go, but we made it possible by adding hashtag in between. Our moderators are very active in this case and last time we removed atleast 5 such users who were just sending request but not tweeting others request.

Reply

43 Simran March 5, 2010 at 19:29

Its a difficult task to track such users and its obvious that you will get spammers too along with genuine users. You need to be very careful with this.

I will give your group a try and I hope you will be moderating this group carefully :)

Reply

44 Harsh Agrawal March 5, 2010 at 19:32

Simran its a community work and I believe every one should watch each others tweets and help me finding who is spammer. Even 40 good and active member is better than 1000 members :)

Hey harsh i have a suggestion. You can make another twitter account & tweet the post there. The people joining the club can use twitterfeed to retweet your tweets. This way your tweets will get automatically retweet by other members of the group.
