We have already discussed on how to Embed comment box below your blog post in blogspot. this helps in lots of situation , but in many case we do miss the wordpress like comment box in blogSpot. More over if you use Captcha, you are actually making readers to stay away from your blog commenting system. One easy, way to make your blog more friendly is by adding some 3rd party commenting system like DISQUS, Intense debate and couple of others. Personally I like Intense debate and DISQUS more as they are used on many WordPress blog and readers are use to it.

Obviously it’s so easy to add comment on blogspot when you add comment without and pop up like wordpress style.![]()
Though this can be easily achieved by using tools like Intense debate.
The best part of Intense debate is it is featured rich, like
- Rating
- Email notification
- Comment profile
- Blacklisting
and that’s not all, there are many other features that you will get with intense debate commenting system on your BlogSpot blogs.
It’s much better then using the default Blogspot comment box and moreover it’s free.

Though there are few downside of it.
- It will increase the blog load time
- When you will try to migrate from blogspot to wordpress, you will not be able to import your comments.

Intense debate script loads last on my blog so it appears only after all the necessary content of my blog is loaded..

One of the main feature of using third party comment system is Reply option to comments which blogger lack.
I recently saw this tutorial on How to add reply option to blogger comments and thought to share with you
“# When you will try to migrate from blogspot to wordpress, you will not be able to import your comments.”
Thats not true! I successfully migrated to WP with all my intensedebate comment! Actually i think comments are stored according to the URL… So, as I followed dw’s tutorial to keep permalink structure intact, so only what i had to do is install the intense debate plugin to my wp and everything else was done automatically!
Swashata I agree with you on this. Earlier I never worked with any client for migrating Intense debate and Disqus comment to Wordpress. But recently I worked with few of my (Blogspot to WordPress) migration client and it’s successfully migrated..
Thanks for adding a comment..
Sorry harsh! I was actually wrong that time! The comments remain inside ID’s database… It does not automatically imports to WP! Also their plugin [http://blog.intensedebate.com/2010/02/09/blogger-to-wordpress/] is not working for now! and in the course of moving my own blog from Blogger to WP I have developed a plugin [based on Josh's algorithm] to import comments from Intense Debate Export XML to Wordpress! Hope someone finds it useful
