Adsense is the best contextual advertisement program for blogger. It’s easy to set up and once code is added, it will never let your blog run out of advertisement.

In my case I never left out of advertisement on my blog, I’m sure some of you might hate lots of advertisement but advertisement is a real source of income for a blogger.

From last few days my adsense revenue is not doing so great in spite of the fact that most of my readers are from search engines. One of the mail reason for this irrelevant advertisement.

What do you mean by irrelevant advertisement?

Irrelevant advertisement means that advertisement showing on my posts are not familiar with what post says. Suppose if I write about a post on Torrent and the advertisement shown by Google adsense is something about Dogs, chances of clicking on such advertisement is negligible. Whereas if adsense will show the advertisement like Torrent exchange program or Lime Wire, Chances of getting clicks on such adverts are very high and thus your revenue will be very high.

How to start with Adsense section targeting?

When we write a post we write lots of example from dogs to rocket science. Obviously I can’t except to afford dogs advertisement on my tech blog.   To do this I need to be tell Google adsense crawler, where to look for lines from where he can put meaningful advertisement. To do this you need to insert these two line of code at the starting and ending of your keyword rich lines.

<!– google_ad_section_start –>
<!– google_ad_section_end –>

You need to experiment with the ideal placement because if you will not give enough keyword to crawler, It might lead to blank ads.     Probably this is what happened to Anshuman : My big mistake with Google adsense   section targeting. It might take 15-30 days for crawler to crawl your page for new adsense section targeting codes.
