Conficker which is also known as downadup , its latest 1st april self activating worm Conficker C worm which is popularly termed as April fool’s worm.
Though the panic is on against the Conficker C worm, april 1 computer worm but there are many ways by which you can fight and protect yourself against Conficker virus.
1. Windows update : Keep your windows system updated with windows update. Download all the updated from official microsoft website or let your system download windows update automatically.
2. Windows malicious removal tool : Do download the Microsoft malicious tool, so that you can ensure latest updates and extra precaution against malicious viruses. This will insure all security patches from microsoft is updated.
3. Download conficker removal tool : Download the conficker removal tool in case your feel that you are infected from the conficker C worm.
4. Install and update antivirus : I’m sure you must be using atleast one antivirus. Though make sure your antivirus are up to date and one of these 10 top antivirus.
