2 days back I informed you about Orkut homepage new design and so far I’m loving it. Followed by how to get Orkut invitation. That time my Orkut home page was giving “Error bad bad server” so I could not invite my friends to try the new orkut. Here is a quick update for people who have orkut new design.
- You can invite 10 people to try new Orkut design
- Person must be in your friend list
- You can search person by email or by his Orkut name.
- You can send 10 invitation
I’m not sure about it, but I invited myself on other Id and I’m not seeing an option to invite others from that Id. So people who getting invites(from friends), can’t send invitation to other friends.
I wish orkut will make it open for everyone. I’m sure Indian and Brazil users who are big fan of orkut, will love to try this new orkut feature.
So far what I like the most about new design is, it’s fast. Orkut has undergone drastic changes with this new design and apart from front , I like every thing there. I don’t know how orkut is planning to make it a good place for bloggers or webmasters, but if they do, Orkut will become a big hub for bloggers soon.

I just deleted my orkut account–there was nothing to do here. Facebook and Twitter rule when it comes to social marketing. Don’t know how much this feature will help Orkut re-establish itself.

dude only volunteers and new orkut community moderators can invite any one anytime for res of su you have been invited to the new orkut by sumbody else shall have to wait for atleast 36 hours to the invitation power which is limited to 10 people only, but can be increased depending on how active oyu are the new okrut community
i guess this the same marketing strategy google is using as it did with gmail which made gmail useable only by invite and one person can invite only 3 more.
