We have already talked about Twittercounter website, which lets you see your twitter follow graph on your blog. Twittercounter also comes with a badge which you can use on your blog to showoff the number of followers you have.
The widget serves two purpose, it shows the number of followers you have and give an option to readers to follow you.
How to get twitter badge for your blog?
- Go to Twittercounter site
- Enter your username by replacing denharsh with your twitter username http://twittercounter.com/denharsh
Now Click on right side which says, click here to get more followers
On the next page, you can select the pre defined badges, or you can customize the colors according to your need.

The twitter counter stat is so no accurate. At a point where I had like 214 followers, it kept showing 135 for 3 days and in annoyance I removed it from my sidebar with no intention of ever putting it back again.
That’s True sometime it happens that it take time to update your Real twitter follower count, though there is an option where you can manually update your Twitter follower count.
It happened to me also. I think it’s mainly because of the twitter’s technology architecture and slow servers. Because of which Twitter used to fail often in the past.
but things have changed a lot since then and now Twitter works a bit fast. I hope that the API also will work fast and it’ll provide the real time updates.
