How to Get Invitation for New Orkut Design?

Just now I wrote a post on orkut gets new design and realize that right now not every one can try this feature. And its solely invitation based at the moment. Many Current orkut users got their invitation to try this new design of orkut.

I just tried new Orkut design and realize its more flexible and easy to use now. The best thing is its fast and smooth to navigate between tabs, unlike in previous orkut design.

For the users who have not received the new design can easily get by following one one of the two methods as stated in Official Orkut announcement :

1.Join Poppy and Shashi on the official community(www.orkut.co.in/neworkut) for insights into the new version of orkut and participate in one of the many activities that will be taking place there. Be sure to check back often as the owners will be regularly announcing new ways to get access.

2.Find a friend who’s already using the new version of orkut and ask for an invite. You can see who’s already gotten access via your activity stream or by this icon that will appear on your friends’ profile pages, next to their names.

I like the idea of Orkut here to bring the new ideas and innovation here. Though if I will give my last 2 cents here, Orkut is not popular like facebook because

it doesn’t full fill the marketing need of users. I’m sure orkut is keeping this one in mind and soon we will see some nice features rolling out, which will help Bloggers and webmaster to promote their product and brand.

Getting back to the point , If you have not yet tried new orkut design, and let us know your opinion on new orkut design

This is a very cool feature, I have sent a request for the new orkut design,
waiting for their response, Orkut is trying very hard to compete with Facebook,
this experiment is a result of Orkut hidden intentions to compete with
Fqacebook. Anyways, this is a cool news for India and Brazil people.
