If you are a regular reader of shoutmeloud, you must be aware of shoutmeloud alexa   rank updates.

If you missed it then you can check my previous posts where on January 9th when I announced Alexa rank update to 1,72,000and then on Feb 12,2009 I posted about our alexa rank improvement from 1,72,000 to alexa rank 74,681.

And since then we never looked back, now at the time of writing we are at the threshold of 50K.

Though now alexa is updating its ranking in 2-3 days, so we can see lots of variation depending on the traffic.

Alexa rank is completely depend on your traffic. Though there are other ways which can be helpful to improve your alexa ranking.

One of them is by using Alexa toolbar : You can see my post on Alexa toolbar here

Another suggestion will be putting an Alexa widget on your blog/website.

How to get   alexa widget code for your blog?

Go to Alexa Site-stats webpage from this link , Enter your website/blog address and get the codes for your blog from the next page.

There are different buttons which you can use it on your blog.

Is the Alexa widget no longer availible as I cannot seem to find it on their website.
Can anyone help me.
By the way, if you download and use a service called “refresher” you can increase you alexa ranking easily. It constantly refreshes your pages and adds traffic stats.

hi, you got a good alexa rankings and I applaud you for that. I dont know if installing the alexa widget can really improve the alexa rank because i read many articles that says that it doesn’t affect the alexa rank…but i will try to re-install it on my blog. Keep up the good work and hopefully I can enter the 100K after 2 or 3 months :D
