While sending any page to any of our friends on StumbleUpon we use the “Send to“ button. Clicking on this button opens up a list of all our friends as drop down.
Have a look :

In the above image you can see the Avatar beside the names of stumbleupon friends. Sometimes, we recognize a person by its Avatar and if your friend has updated his/her Avatar and you want the old avatar back or want to change it, here is a tutorial to do that :
Lets start :
1. First open My Computer and at the top click on Tools and select Folder Options. Here, click on View tab and check show hidden files and folders and click on Ok.
2. Now go to C:Documents and SettingsUSERApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfiles
3. If you have made any profile in Mozilla Firefox then only open that profile folder that has StumbleUpon toolbar installed and then look for StumbleUpon folder and open it.
4. In it click on iconpics folder. This folder contains all the avatars of your friends in JPG format.
Now comes the tricky part, to change the Avatar of any of your friend in the StubmleUpon toolbar, we have to simply replace the old image in iconpics folder with the new one. It should be noted that the size, name and format should be same as that of previous image.
As an example, I am changing Harsh’s avatar. What I did is :
- I searched for new image.
- Edited that image to create same size as that of previous image.
- Replaced the old image in iconpics folder with the new one with the same name and format (JPG).
- And you are done.
5. Now, restart your browser and now click on Send to button. Have a look :

In this way you can change any image you want but one thing that should be kept in mind is that the name, size and format of your image should be same.
