How to Change your DNS to Google DNS

by Harsh Agrawal on December 4, 2009

in Windows

Just now I posted about Google released its Public DNS and before I get Email for How to change DNS, I believe its best to write about it.

To change your DNS to Google DNS or Open DNS all you need to do is edit your network settings. Which is very easy in windows. Find your active Internet connection. Either from notification area or from My Computer > My network places > Network connections.

Click on Properties > Internet Protocol >TCP/IP and change your settings in “use the Following DNS server ”

In this screenshot my DNS is configured to use OPEN DNS , If you want to use Google DNS change it to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Do let me know if you face any problem changing your DNS.
