By default Thesis wordpress theme doesn’t come with page navigation. It has entries like previous entry and next entry, which is not very good to lower down the bounce rate and provide an easy navigation to your reader.
To add Page navigation to Thesis wordpress theme, you need to have
Download, install and activate both the plugins. Copy the following code and put it in Before footer option of Thesis open hook plugin.
Make sure you keep a checkmark on Execute php on this hook to make this code work.

Giving page navigation option to your readers, will help you to lower down your blog bounce rate.

Even you can add page navigation using pagenavi wordpress plugin.

I talked about page navigation plugin only, but with thesis you need a piece of code to activate the page navigation feature.

This is truly a great plugin and I’m using it myself. A bounce rate of 17 percent are actually fantastic. At my personal blog (ducedo.com) I have a bounce rate of 55 percent. Something to work on..

Bounce rate of 55% is also good Stefan. Though as a blogger, we should always try to keep our Bounce rate as low as we can. This can only achieved when we are getting targeted traffic.

for other theme Page navigation plugin is usually plugin and and play. But this may not work in all the cases, for some themes like Thesis, you may need to play with codes.
Hi, thanks so much for your info. I am trying to get the page navigation to read the previous and next post titles, like you have here on your blog. Could you help me with what I should do to make it look like that please. I don’t like the way the boxes show up with numbers to just the pages of my blog.
