How to Add Facebook Like Button Into WordPress

Facebook released new like button which is somehow seems less appealing to me. But the way Facebook is growing every day, I can’t miss targeting Facebook for visitors. The problem with new Like button is that it is very tiny, somehow Facebook share count button makes more sense to me.

Anyways, to give it a shot I have added Facebook like button here at Shoutmeloud and from now you can click on Like button on the top right of the post to share it on your wall post.

Wordpressfacebooklikebutton thumb

This little button is good enough to drive traffic into your blog and to add it into your blog, you need to add

This is my ad code which I have added here to Shoutmeloud :

<iframe src="" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:50px; height:25px;margin:10px 0 0 0;">iframe>

You can resize the size of the button or you can try this alternative code too which will give a look like this :

"; ?>&layout=standard&show-faces=true&width=530&height=60&action=like&colorscheme=light" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:530px; height:60px"></iframe>

This simple code will help you to drive more traffic from Facebook. You need to edit your single.php to add Facebook like button into your post pages. Try this code by hitting the like button at the top and you will see the increase in hit counts here.

Do let me know if you planning to use this button on your blog or now? Along with this, I also suggest try Stumble upon share button and Tweetmeme retweet button on your blog.

Your first script is not complete.
href =”missing url” and iframe is not properly closed.

The layout can be customized. I would suggest:
    1. Go to
    2. Give dummy url, style, width, verb, font, color scheme and get code.
    3. Now replace dummy url to and use it in blog.

Hey, some site have like button that on clicking ‘post this with comment’ appears. How to do that. FB help tells that we need to run some code on our servers.

I am with you on this. The share button was much nicer than the Like button from Facebook. Sigh..
