Adsense for feeds is one of feeds monetization program, which is available under our Adsense account. When we talk about making money from blog feeds, adsense is certainly not the best way. But again it varies from Niche to niche. For a blog like ShoutMeLoud which is a Blog for Bloggers, I would prefer using one of my affiliate ads instead of adsense.
Personally, I prefer using Affiliate product and banner for feed monetization but depending upon your Blog niche and model, you can use adsense or use your affiliate links in your feeds.
Anyways, it won’t hurt to try using Adsense in your feeds for a while and see how it peform. Make sure, you use Adsense for partial feeds for better Adsense CTR. You must be using Feedburner to burn your feeds and if you are new to this, read my guide on How to burn feeds using Feedburner.
How to Monetize Blog feed using Adsense:
To get started with this, login to your adsense account and click on Adsense Setup> Adsense for feeds.
![]()
If you are using the same email address for Feedburner and adsense, you will see list of your feed account else click on move feed burner feed to your Google account. (Bottom).
Once done Set the ad configuration and select your feed which you want to integrate with adsense.
Don’t forget to select new custom channel and add details to make your feed ads targetable. Add important info like who are going to read your feeds and what do you write about.
Click on save and within 10 minutes your adsense for feed will be live. Make sure you monetize your feeds only when you have good number of RSS subscriber, else earning with your RSS feed will be negligible.

Hi Harsh, that’s really a simple trick to get even more bucks from Google Adsense. But the thing here is – Adsense for feeds pay very less even if our subscribers are huge. I have seen many pro-bloggers monthly income reports and none has significant impact of Adsense for Feeds earnings on their total Adsense Income. I think Google pays less for such advertisements (Related to Feeds). Hope we should find a good way to optimize in this area to get high paying ads.
Radha if you are on WordPress you can add your own ads (Affiliate ads) in your feeds…Even one single sale will generate more revenue than what you make from adsense for feeds.
You can take help of plugins like RSS footer.
great tips harsh

I agree Kimi it doesn’t work much and again as I mentioned it’s niche driven.
Have a look at RSS footer plugin and try to add your own ad code..It might help a little
I promote few affiliate product using RSS footer plugin and it generate good sales for me!!
I have configured for my blogs before a year ago and it’s really gr8 that you will get good money from it
Is it working good for you Vishal? For me I don’t see much benefit with Adsense for feeds..I might switch to custom ads for feeds…
Harsh,
Somehow CTR is less on Feed, but the eCPM is very high compared content or search result adsense.
Its worth to try with more RSS subscription daily.
i’ve seen this once , i find it very useful specially with pictures
