New war has begun between the software giant Microsoft and the search Engine giant Google. Just before Bing’s launch Statistics showed that Google occupied 64% of the total search queries, yahoo Inc standing in the second place with 20% and Microsoft has got just above the 9%. Statistics are constantly changing and within one week’s time Bing raised its percentage to 11 which obviously means that Bing unquestionably giving a big fight to Google and yahoo.
Reports say that Microsoft spent nearly 100 million dollars to advertise and market Bing. Beyond any doubt they will continue to spend more to have a bigger share in the search Engine market. Bing has also got few advantages when compared to Google where its image search query produces good number of results and continue to produce more results while you scroll down. They also introduced a new buffering option that will buffer a video if the mouse cursor is placed on any video result that is generated.
Google on the other hand is really good in producing flash news where as Microsoft failed to do so. Google Show Options… has certainly enhanced its power where users can control their search. Both the search engines have their own advantages and dis-advantages. For me its Google that is doing a good job so far and Microsoft Bing is certainly coming strong too. However Google is really comfortable at the top but will the search engine leaders manage to stay at the top in the coming years, well we will have to wait and see.

Yeah i agree with rahul they are wasting there money in these kind of works. But its not enough google is reliable and a search engine giant. By these function you can get some amount of visitor but to complete google msn have to reliable, better then google search, adding some kind of rank function. and i think they need to think again for bing.

I heard about Bing a few days back and I have started to use Google and Bing together. Where the one is not up to standard, I use the other. I sometime use both and see what results are returned to me.
I would say that we need to give Bing about a year and then look at the stats again. I’m sure they will catch up to Yahoo and maybe bring down the gap for Google. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I’m using bing, and I have to say
all the little perks they’ve added in both video streaming, and image searches is awesome! Not to mention it’s as reliable as google.
I was getting bored of google’s plain old look, and bing is just the change I was looking for!
I think Bing will totally come close, or beat google soon.
