Gmail is allowing you to manage your multiple accounts more efficiently by introducing a new feature known as “Email Delegation”. Email Delegation is a feature which allows you to grant access to other Gmail user to manage your account. With the help of Email Delegation feature other Gmail users whom you have grant the access can check your inbox and reply to emails on your behalf. You don’t have to worry about other factors chat or changing settings of your Gmail account etc. because others won’t able to chat or change the settings of your Gmail account including Account Password.

Even if other user is managing your Gmail account, user can view both the accounts at same time. It is easy to switch between accounts and if you sign out of any account then it will sign you out of all the accounts you were viewing. If you think that you don’t want to provide the Gmail account access anymore to other, you can delete the delegation account anytime.

This is a great way to make it easy for me to have multiple accounts in gmail but actually delegating is not so important to one single email address.

And does the receiver of a delegated email can see your email address even if it is sent through an email address that someone else delegated to you?

The FROM field will contain the delegated email address, but the SENT BY field will contain the email address who actually typed it.

Yeah Sahil, the “sent from” will be one who typed it but it’s good because when dealing with official mails, it is always better to have transparency who sent mail on whose behalf.
