Gmail is allowing you to manage your multiple accounts more efficiently by introducing a new feature known as “Email Delegation”. Email Delegation is a feature which allows you to grant access to other Gmail user to manage your account. With the help of Email Delegation feature other Gmail users whom you have grant the access can check your inbox and reply to emails on your behalf. You don’t have to worry about other factors chat or changing settings of your Gmail account etc. because others won’t able to chat or change the settings of your Gmail account including Account Password.
Even if other user is managing your Gmail account, user can view both the accounts at same time. It is easy to switch between accounts and if you sign out of any account then it will sign you out of all the accounts you were viewing. If you think that you don’t want to provide the Gmail account access anymore to other, you can delete the delegation account anytime.
How to give some one access to you Gmail account using delegation feature:
- Go to Settings and Account Tab.
- You will see a new feature called “Grant Access to Your Account”.
- Enter the account you want to add.
- The account you will add will get an email with confirmation link to accept or reject the access.
- Once accepted, you will see a drop arrow near account Id which will help you to switch between accounts.
