It’s been quite some time Wordpress released 2.9. I’m sure many of you have checked all the features of Wordpress 2.9, but I’m sure many of you might have latest option in Wordpress 2.9 and that is , Shortlink option.
Using Get Shortlink option, that resides below permalink in edit post or edit page mode, you can quickly grab a shortened URL for your future post.
This feature is very useful for users who are running any contest or use lots of post scheduling.
Have you updated your blog to latest 2.9 version or you still using outdated version?

I think thats available for those who have installed wp.com stats plugin.
Gautam thanks for heads up, I believe you are right since I’m using Wp.com stats plugin.
Yup..you forgot to add. This feature is only available when you install Wordpress.com Stats Plugin. This is not available with WP 2.9.
At first instance I thought its a feature of Wordpress 2.9. Though again in other words : One need to have wp.com stats plugin to see this useful feature
