I’m surprised with sudden Google page rank update. Google updated the page rank of many websites and while talking to many friends on twitter and facebook that this time Google page rank was not pleasant for everyone.
Many bloggers responded that their page rank decreased and or they completely lost the page rank.
For Shoutmeloud main page Page rank remains the same i.e PR#3 but the good news is most of new internal pages got Google page rank.
Along with, if you remember few days back in my previous post How much I make money from blogging in Feb 2009 told you about my other blog www.chromoz.com which got page rank of#1. Though it’s equivalent to negligible but the quality of post and effort I put in there, it’s acceptable for me.
If you remember my previous post on Why you should link back and anchor text technique and probably that’s why I’m ranking on search engine for few of my target keywords.

Ranking on Google is not a huge thing but it’s important, that shows your website or blog authority in the eyes of Google. I will recommend have a look at these articles which will help you to rank better in Google and might help you to increase your page rank in the next update.

Just a word of precaution , many link seller will approach you to sell you paid link for good price . I suggest to stay away from it else it might effect your PR in the next update.
My PR is stuck to 2. I am happy with that as long as it doesnt decrease futher. I am taking a bit of penalty due to TLA and Sponsored reviews. My PR at one point of time was 6 – lol.
But the PR drop hasnt really affected my traffic. So don’t care much about it. But yeah, dont want to end up with PR 0 either..that looks bad.

That’s true that Losing PR doesn’t affect traffic but Good PR is always seen as a great reputation and seems like I can expect quality content on those blogs and less or no paid links.
IMHO it’s good to have better PR, though most of webmaster’s doesn’t are a lot about PR.
This pagerank is +ve for most of the blogger, have seen many blogs with increased pagerank, My blog got Pagerank 5 . I am very happy with my efforts to get higher pagerank, and i think pagerank 5 is good thing
Why no change for you ?? you should work towards getting more and more backlinks.

I already have loads of backlinks. Based on the no. of backlinks (including backlinks from sources like mashable and myopera.com) , age of site etc my website should have a higher rank than 2. Its that google penalised me to TLA ads.
But yeah, I am gonna work in the next couple of months towards getting more backlinks.
That;s great news PR 5 is awesome.
I know I’m little sad with no PR update though I tried my best to get quality back link from many sites via guest posting and commenting. Seems like I missed something or Google wants me to wait till next update.
Mine is still 3. It’s been 3 for a year I think lol. Had a PR4 once and I think I lost it after I changed my permalinks (or maybe not)

That’s true Ricky, getting PR is not very tough, but I remember my initial days of blogging and when I got PR, I almost told this to everyone.
Though people fail to understand what’s PR. but for a budding blogger or first PR is always a great news and motivation factor for every blogger.

i hvnt blog for last 20 days…
PR 1 is still good, any PR in my view means Google is seeing your blog is an authority website and with little more effort you can increase your blog PR.

Dammit ! Yes, it updated. I have 20 sites and it seems that the PR flows from sites to sites. Some of them decrease (from PR1 to 0 ) and some of them increase (from 0 to 1 ). I can’t stand this anymore. I want all of them have PR1 !!! I hate Google. Google sucks
mine is still at PR4 ,its surprise Google updated pr for just two months, I am expecting they will update at the end of june ,not so be let us see how much time it will take for next PR .

Prasanta PR 4 is good. IMO any page rank starting from 1-10 is always good. And increment always act as motivation for us.
