Google New Search Index System: Caffeine

Google New Search Index System: Caffeine

Last time when Google announced soon to be released Index system termed as Caffeine it created lots of buzz in blogosphere as this new search indexing system brought lots of changes in search engine ranking.Technically I have seen lots of changes in my search engine traffic in last few weeks. Probably an effect of Caffeine or because of quality content. What ever it is today Google announced the completion of their new Search indexing system Caffeine.

Google also explained why they needed this new system and how is Caffeine different from old indexing system:

Our old index had several layers, some of which were refreshed at a faster rate than others; the main layer would update every couple of weeks. To refresh a layer of the old index, we would analyze the entire web, which meant there was a significant delay between when we found a page and made it available to you.
With Caffeine, we analyze the web in small portions and update our search index on a continuous basis, globally. As we find new pages, or new information on existing pages, we can add these straight to the index. That means you can find fresher information than ever before—no matter when or where it was published.

Seems like Google search is undergoing lots of changes and few of recent changes are :

What if the people do real time spamming. Will they be able to index on front page??
What about the quality sites which has many pages ranked. like wiki etc. Will other fresh content will take the position in page 1. If so Google caffiene is waste. people want quality information. Caffeine is good for frequently updated niches like enter, news, media etc.

A New Search Engine Revolution took place… which is making a greater opportunity for the new bloggers to show off their talents….

This “Caffeine” is going make a big change, which can even throw out some popular blog with uncompetitive contents… Everyone is thinking that now getting top listed in Google became very easy but “they are wrong”, because with “caffeine” Google is Searching for Quality content every day and it give the first preference to the best and the competition will be tough.

The Content rush will become more because more than millions of contents are produced over web daily and Google will select the little & the best from those. Now, listing in search engine will be like giving audition in front of judges..

I’ve also seen a rise in my search engine traffic share from last 2 weeks, though I’ve not posted fresh content.

“Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than our last index, and it’s the largest collection of web content we’ve offered. Whether it’s a news story, a blog or a forum post, you can now find links to relevant content much sooner after it is published than was possible ever before,”

yup i think they brought real time search in their indexing pattern & even i notice this change as two days back i have written a post about iPhone n my website link got best ranking for one of the competitive “New Apple iPhone 4″ keywords just below the apple website for google.co.in , the result lasted for one day then link to my site was no where to be found.

So i think this might be the reason let see this changes are for the good.
