Google Friend Connect can be user by any webmaster or blogger now on their website/blog.
I was so glad that i also got an invitation from Google to try the Google Friend Connect widget as soon as launched it for open beta.
Friend Connect was launched as beta preview release in May.

Friend Connect is a service for website/blog owners to engage users.
Users can login using there Google, Yahoo, AIM, or OpenID user names and passwords and its very useful for users to connect to many other people who share almost the same interest. Users can access there friend social data like friend lists, profile information, feed messages, ratings and the website they like.
Members can also invite there contacts to invite there friend to join a particular website.
Friend Connect also provide other gadgets Wall Gadget, Review/Rate widget & many more to engage users in various activities within site.
