Yesterday Google unveiled a new updated ad platform called DoubleClick for Publishers(DFP). It aims to help maximize returns from ads for publishers.
Currently the service is offered in two modes. DoubleClick for Publishers (for the largest online publishers) and DFP Small Business (a free version designed for growing online publishers).

The new interface, as Google suggests, aims to help publishers to reduce time and energy required in executing ad campaigns. A remarkable new feature is the geo-targeting data is helps identify where revenue is coming from, tracking ad delivery unto the city level. Another reporting feature states hourly and daily ad trends. So, tracking of the ads just became far more precise.

Quoting Neal Mohan, Vice President of Product Management, “We see an opportunity to improve ad serving even further by combining Google’s technology and infrastructure with DoubleClick’s display advertising and ad serving experience. Since we acquired DoubleClick in March 2008, our engineering and product teams have been working with online publishers to tackle the obstacles that prevent them from maximizing revenues from their websites.”
