Google AdSense Account Approval Process- 2024

256Shares

Update: I updated This article in August 2022 with the new AdSense account approval process.

It’s pointless to mention again that AdSense is one of the best contextual advertising networks. Until now, the AdSense approval process was simple: You create a new AdSense account, your account is reviewed, The AdSense team accepts your application, and you can implement ads on your site and start making money.

From now on, AdSense has changed the AdSense approval process and made this easy for new publishers.

Here is the new account AdSense approval process:

  1. Ensure your website is compatible with AdSense
  2. Sign up for an AdSense account
  3. Add the AdSense code on your website
  4. AdSense team review and approve/reject your website in 2-3 days
  5. AdSense team will ask you to verify your identity
  6. Add Payment information to get paid (Payment threshold is $100)

Once you add the code on your blog, that will show blank ads. Here is a video that shows how to create your first AdSense ad unit:

In a typical scenario, it would take 48 hours to review your application. Once your application is approved, it would start showing ads on your blog & you will start making money.

Here is the process for AdSense approval:

  • Register for an AdSense account by going to AdSense.com. Provide all the correct information about your Name, Address, and Website URL.
  • Login to your AdSense account, and create AdSense codes. Place the codes in your blog sidebar.
  • Ads will show as blank until the final approval process doesn’t finish. It may take up to 2 weeks for approval. Make sure you don’t remove the ads.
  • After the final AdSense approval, you will get a confirmation email.
  • Once your AdSense earning reaches $10, AdSense will mail you a PIN to your address.
  • Login to your AdSense account, and enter the Pin once you receive it.
  • Congrats you have completed all the steps. Once your account reaches $100, Google will send you or wire your earning. I recommend you to enable direct bank transfer for AdSense payments.

Though this will certainly help in domain ownership verification and moreover those who are signing up using someone else website, might find it tough to get into AdSense. If they still reject your account, it’s time to try out AdSense alternatives.

Have you signed up for AdSense recently? How was your experience with the new AdSense approval process?

Here is a video that will help you in adding AdSense codes on your WordPress blog.

I have just got my application for adsense approved. It took me a few weeks. I have only 26 blog posts but I have bought a domain name. I think the domain name and the quality of my posts make them approve my google adsense application.

I got 1st step approved and waiting for 2nd step. Is there ant tricks to get fast approval for 2nd step?

      @Subodh
The only thing which I could recommend at this stage is:

      1) Remove all other existing ads on your blog apart from AdSense.
      2) Add pages like About, contact
      3) Make sure your blog design is clan & look professional.

    Harsh,

I met with quite a strange experience. I had applied from my generic gmail address and got rejected thrice with same reason ‘insufficient content’. First time i got rejected was when my blog had 5 posts, third time I had 50 posts and bummer, same reason ‘insufficient content’. In the meantime I got Google apps account (comes at very cheap Rs.150/Month/User) and reapplied with this account at the same moment when I got rejection email for third time. Voila…in 36 hours I got ‘Congratulatory’ email for fully activated account. And adds started flashing in next few hours. Obviously my generic email account was the one which I used to sign up Google Apps account. So I think this connection also played a good part in this (First step clearance already done?). I don’t know yet but I will figure it out. Also what I noticed is when I applied fresh using Google Apps account and logged in to adsense account, first stage approval was already there and I just took the ad code and paste it on my blog. Within 36 hours I got approval email. See if you can make it a case study out of it for many readers who are struggling to get their adsense account approved. And the idea of using Google Apps account was from your recommendation. Thanks.

      @Shrish
Thanks for sharing your experience and I have always emphasised on using domain specific eMail address to apply for AdSense. It actually shows more professionalism and I guess AdSense team also love such application. I would definitely add this comment in one of my posts in future.

    Hey Harsh,
I have Google adds on my you tube channel and i want to apply for my blog “http://info004u.blogspot.in/”. Tell me how can i apply on it and if it is not possible so how can i get these adds on my blog by essay way?

I had the first initial process approved and the next was to implement the code on the site. But I didn’t do it and waited for the ads to be displayed on the site. After 6-7 days when I found that my site didn’t see any code then I realized what I had forgotten. I implemented adsense in my blog using Adsense plugin and within 2-3 hours my site started to show Ads.

hello sir , i have a query that how much time does google takes to complete the 2nd step review process..thanks

    1. Harsh Agrawal

@Rahul As per my experience with them, it usually takes around 2-7 days. This may fluctuate based on various factors.

    2nd

the 1st step is just a check that you haven’t applied / rejected before and that you’re not wanted by interpol or something

basically anyone can get step 1 if they are breathing and own a site.
step 2 is the actual check of if the site is suitable / meets the terms and policies expected

    Hi guys,

This Google Adsense is a whole nightmare maker.

I deleted my gmail account. Created a new one and applied for Adsense. Strange thing that my youtube settings says I have an aczive Adsense and it is approved. But when I wanna log in my Adsense it shows me a message that they thank my interest in applying but since I have a previous email matching to my recent application I cannot apply because onle one account can be on one account. Well, I deleted that email over 2 years. Cannot log in. So I am banned forever because I cannot make any changes.

What could be the solution? Creating a new gmail, new youtube account, with me brother’s data, address and bank account? And later if I earn money I change the payee name and address?

    Damn it is so misty.

    Thank any good reply.
