Gmail trick: 2 Gb free Space using Gmail drive

by Harsh Agrawal on March 6, 2009

in Gmail, Windows

Gmail drive is a small software tool fir windows which let you use your Gmail inbox as a Local hard drive.

This small piece of software, once installed , add a Gmail drive icon under My computer. Though you can utilize only 2Gb of your Gmail space using this.

It works like a local hard disk, You can simple copy paste files here and file will be uploaded on your Gmail Inbox.

Those who have not experienced the power of Gmail drive can experience it now.Gmail drive

There are only two limitation here on Gmail Drive

# Maximum file size should not exceed 10Mb : You are not allowed to upload any file which is more then 10MB.

# Filename character 65:   The filename should not exceed 65 character.

Apart from all this Gmail drive is a pretty cool application and highly useful.

Though if you feel if 2 Gb is not sufficient for you and you need more space you can check my previous post on Skydrive which   allow 25 Gb of free online space.
