Gmail was launched on 1st April 2004 and its been 5 glorious year of Gmail that it was in phase. Despite of cool Gmail lab applications and Gmail has shown its authority in Email field, it was still wearing beta label.
Finally with an announcement from official Gmail blog, Gmail is no more in beta phase.
Gmail services which are out of beta phase are :
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
- Google Docs
- Google talk
According to official blog
both enterprise and consumer versions ” are now out of beta. “Beta” will be removed from the product logos today, but we’ll continue to innovate and improve upon the applications whether or not there’s a small “beta” beneath the logo.
For those who are still find of Gmail beta logo, they can enable it under lab settings.
