Ever since Twitter introduced the ‘Lists’ features, there have been multiple opinions on the usefulness of it. Personally, I have found them very useful to categorize people just like I would do through my Facebook and LinkedIn contacts etc. Given the importance of twitter for blogging, lists also prove very useful for many things with multiple use-cases. For eg: For multi-author blogs, a twitter list could be created for all the authors who contribute to the blog, for keeping a track of people who are known for breaking news etc.
Moreover, there are certain areas which are difficult to manage on twitter with some of them being tracking the people who follow/unfollow the account, finding new people by interest areas and so on. Twitter Account Management has a promising answer in Formulists
Formulists
Here is what Formulists claims to do for Twitter Account Management “Filter your timeline, track unfollowers, and more…right from your Twitter home page!”. Sounds like a nifty solution, isn’t it
How does Formulist help you with Twitter Account Management?
Formulists leverages the power of Twitter Lists feature to help you manage and track the activity on your twitter account. It creates auto-updating self-populating lists for your account tracking various aspects of your twitter account. A few useful lists that Formulists helps you make are
Track Unfollowers/Followers
A variety of apps claim to help you track your unfollowers but I think none of them does it as seamlessly as Formulisit does. All you need to do is sign into Formulists through Twitter OAuth and you will be presented with a landing page to select. Select the category ‘Manage Your Followers’ and you will get multiple options to create relevant lists as shown below
![]()
Of all these options, a few which I think are important are ‘Listed Me’ and probably ‘Does not follow me back’ along with the usual lists for tracking unfollowers/recent followers. The best part is that it is all automated and you get options to make the lists private. Create the list once and then you can track it through your twitter page itself everyday
Find out Who Retweets Who You Most
For bloggers, mutual support is critical when it comes to sharing the posts on social media. Moreover, Retweets of your posts give you an extent of the popularity of your posts that you share on twitter. A list which tells you the people who retweet you most would not only help you identify your most loyal readers but also help you reciprocate the sharing love once in a while.

Discovering New People via Formulists
This is another interesting feature provided by Formulists. You can find twitter accounts which are similar to you or even twitter accounts which are similar to a specific twitter handle. You can use this list to discover a relevant target audience for your blog. For eg: If your blog is about the make money online niche, you can find an influential account in the same niche and then follow the accounts in the generated list. This will give you a relevant audience with whom you can engage in similar conversations and also attract readership
Similar to few examples highlighted above, Formulists offers a variety of options which you can use and manage your twitter account better. Give Formulists a try and let us know what kind of lists do you like?
Formulists claims to have opened up for limited users now but I did not have to wait before getting access. Try signing in with through twitter OAuth and if you are not able to get in please leave a comment with your twitter handle. I have 5 invitations left with me which I can provide on a first-come-first serve basis

Looking useful one tool. I will give a try. Thanks for sharing.
It looks a good tool, I would try out.
Thanks Guys, Do share your thoughts after using the tool
Hope this tool will be as powerful as TwitIn.
Are you reffering to InRev TwitIn. If yes, then let me clarify that both the tools are widely different. TwitIn lets you perform actions (Follow/Unfollow) etc where Formulists primary purpose to provide you insights into you account activity. Using this information, you can then use tools like TwitIn to possibly perform actions. Both the tools have different features
