Master password provides an extra layer of security to your stored password in Firefox but problem arises when people forget there master password and they can’t go ahead with the normal surfing.

There is a way we can reset the Firefox   master password but that will cost us loosing all the stored password on the Mozilla database.

On your Mozilla address bar type:

chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul

This will lead to a screen like this and you can click on reset to reset your Firefox master password.

Now you can select your new password and make sure you don’t forget the password again.
