Few days back I was researching on different web hosting companies and it happened to me I found negative review of almost 60% web hosting company I researched.
Though there are few Web hosting companies like Hostgator, Bluehost which comes out to be clean from these reviews.
There are few other web hosting companies come into my scanner, which provide quality service with almost 0% downtime.
Though I don’t accept any web hosting service to be 100% when we don’t have 100% up time for websites like Twitter and Digg.

This might be good but I would rather run away from any web hosting which claims to give unlimited disk space / bandwidth / mysql databases. That’s just not possible. There will always be some limit. Better to check their terms and conditions to know any hidden upper limit before signing up with them.

There must be a CPU usage limit, then bandwidth is of no use actually. You then have to shift to Private server (like DW did).

Thanks a ton! I had been looking for a good web-host for my Blog. Even though I am looking forward to a Free one due to lack to cash at hand, I got some tips to look out for in a Web-Host.
I signed up with them three days ago and am very disappointed. Technical support is useless. Live Chat is just a gimmick because the people there (actually a third party company) know little about FatCow servers, and just end up filling out tickets on your behalf. Tickets take 24-48 hours to get answered, and when you do get an answer they don’t address all your questions, so you have to raise another ticket and wait 24-48 hours all over again. I’ve been with numerous webhosts since 1996 (TABnet in San Mateo was my first), and don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed so soon with a company in all the time that’s passed since. All the promises on their front page are so far from the truth that you have to assume it’s pure marketing BS.

I am really surprised to see that you are not happy with their customer service. I have personally talked to them on a number of occasions for various reasons. I did the live chat and not a support ticket though.
However, on the issue of unlimited bandwidth that doesn’t really exist. Every server has its limited capabilities. They are a big enough company where they can offer you a ton of bandwidth though.
