Google adsense video unit will be discontinued from the end of April 2009, as stated in official adsense blog.
Video unit for adsense was not very popular among the publisher, though there are many video sites and blogs which were running video unit successfully in their blog. Though the percentage of users who were using video unit was very low.
If you are using adsense video unit on your blog, remove the code by the end of April and start optimizing your ad space for better unit. You can read some adsense optimizing tips here. Though closing down of one unit will be a big loss to many but we can atleast expect an extra unit from adsense team.
People who are using the maximum number of adsense unit, they need to replace their video unit with any alternate link. If you are using adsense video unit at prominent space, you can check out our previous post on adsense alternative programs.
If you are a adsense video publisher, to keep same pace of your revenue you can alternatively use adsense for feeds.
