Facebook is currently the most used website in the world after Google, and it’s growing faster than before. They keep introducing new features to make the whole Facebook experience even better for a user and more fruitful. Their new feature is solely focused on giving something back to it’s loyal 600 million users or so.

Facebook now pays its customers 10 Cents for every time they click on a certain ads. They launched this feature on May 5 and although it’s mentioned 10 Cents, users who click on the targeted ads will be paid in Facebook Credits. Now you must be knowing what Facebook Credits can be used for, to buy things from Deals, but you will have to save a lot as 10 Cents isn’t much and that too when given in the form of Credits. This is however a good step taken by Facebook to make it’s loyal customers get more involved in the addictive world it already is.
This new feature will currently only work in Games, and that too not all of them. Game publishers such as Zynga, Digital Chocolate, CrowdStar are a the top ones who’ll be participating in this new feature and giving out free credits to users. Until a few days ago, one could only use his/her credits to purchase goods online from Facebook Virtual stores, such as gift cards, gifts, game purchases etc, but now they can use credits to buy real world products using Facebook Deals. That is a good step, I would certainly play more Facebook games and try to save up for something nice.
Facebook is working with many companies in serving targeted ads on Game pages, that according to Dan Greenberg, CEO of Sharethrough(one of the companies) ;
Facebook’s move represents “a step away from interruptive advertising.”
I don’t how non-interruptive these ads are going to be, but I sure am going to click on them and collect some credits. Companies such as Sharethrough, SocialVibe, Epic Media and SupersonicAds will be serving ads for Facebook and these ads can also be shared with your friends so even they could enjoy the incentives. This is also going to help Facebook in making more revenue with increased click-through rate thanks to the ads.
What do you think of this new feature introduced by Facebook? What games do you usually play on Facebook and will you start clicking on ads to earn extra credits?

This is a good move by Facebook! Moreover its already beating Adwords with its Facebook Ads and this new feature will almost drown Google of the #1 Rank on Alexa!
They earn so much! 10 cent is very less man!
They should increase the incentive if they want more clicks!
Even I believe in this thought that we will have to collect many 10 cents to buy something
its really interesting and latest feature from facebook…:)
How do i enroll myself for viewing such ads on Facebook. I couldnt find any update on the same on facebook.
Is this only for US users for has it been activated across the Globe?
yes, Facebook is really working hard on its ad solutions. Just yesterday they also disclosed about rolling out of some major changes in their ad analytic platform which advertisers can use to their benefit. No doubt, these constant updates and addition of new products is already giving sleepless nights to Google and its engineers. Last month, they also launched a new product – “Facebook Deals” – on the same line as “Google Offers”. Though it is not yet launched everywhere but only on 5 US locations.
Such a waste of time for 10c! A good gimmick by FB though. But this will definitely attract teenagers & a few others who have nothing productive to do on the web than playing games & clicking on Ads for 10c
Innovating move towards advertising. I think this type of advertising will bring decent amount of money to FB but on the other end we will loose our valuable time by seeing unnecessary ads.
Well, This move could be good for clickers, but what about advertisers? because FB will charge them for too many clicks which people are going to make, as its free to click.
then what would happen with advertisers, they might be over charged with no benefit.
That is why only few companies at the moment are offering this service, not everyone can post such ads!!
I think facebook’s new strategy for making its traffic grow beyond Google and to make itself stay in the position where it is now so that other sites cant overtake it.
nice info. Good for those who play games online and have lot of free time in their hand
Oh, this is super awesome! Let’s play more games on Facebook and earn more credits! Hohohoho…
Now after this i think facebook can get all the people on earth to use facebook once in their life. As already there are half using it.
Great ! FB is awesome:D
