Almost 4 months back Twitter introduced Hovercard feature and which is very handy to save your few clicks. Facebook which is one of the best social networking site around the web is trying to bring lots of new handy features to it’s users and one of them is hovercard.
Facebook introduced Hovercard feature which you can see by hovering your mouse on the name of your facebook friends of any fan page.
This feature is quite handy but will be very useful if Facebook will add more actions like send a message, write on wall, poke feature. For Fan pages, an instant like button will be very useful. I’m expecting that Facebook will add more feature into it’s latest hovercard addition.

Hi Harsh,
I just checked this. Looks like they (fb) already added what you wanted. For friends it shows a ‘Send Message’ link and for fan pages it shows a ‘Like’ link in hover cards.
However, if you already liked the page, the Like link won’t be shown anymore, which is perfect.
As you said, for friends a link there to write on walls or poke will be nice.
I hope facebook will also allow applications to add their own link in such hover cards specially for pages. Do they already allow that? Did any one try with their application? Please share with us.
I wonder if there are any implications for FBML…could you make a hover tab come up for a photo with a caption on your custom image gallery?!
i knew facebook is gonna add this feature someday,i knew too that u gonna write an article on this facebook addition…before any other blog do.!!!! yea mr-ron they have added add as friend and send message features in it….!!!![if u want to check go to any fan page's wall and hover ur mouse on any user's wall post and u can see add as friend and send message links]…good job mr-Harsh[will be back to shoutmeloud]….

LinkedIn ‘s hovercards which were used for years paved the way for hovercards used on any blog/site. Twitter’s hovercards also a step in this direction, and it’s no surprise that facebook is following suit.
The usage statistics we’re seeing usage of these hovercards at 1 hover for every 4 pageviews, indicates a wide acceptance of hovercards as a accessability and for contextual browsing experiences. A far cry from the days of intext where advertising ruled the roost. I expect more companies to either partner with companies like Hover.in, Apture, Glue, Zemanta or come up with their own versions of hovercards to boost what the one problem that they solve well. Distribution.
