Facebook Chat box In your Firefox Sidebar

I’m a big fan of Facebook and I spend quite a time on chatting with my friends on Facebook. Though, at the time of writing there was no Facebook for windows client or any good 3rd party Facebook chat client was there.  But, here I’m going to share about Facebook chat box for those users who are using Firefox as their browser.

This is a simple trick which will let you have a sidebar for Facebook chat on your Mozilla Firefox all the time.  This small but handy tip is going to be very useful for Facebook chatter box.

Follow this step by step guide to create Facebook chat box on Firefox:

Open Firefox >Create a new bookmark for the link

http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php

Make sure you keep a check mark on Load the bookmark in the sidebar , else it will open it on the current tab, and you will miss the fun of Facebook chat window in the sidebar.

Now, when ever you will open the link it will open the Facebook chat but in the sidebar. You won’t see all other updates like status and all, but only friends along with their online or offline status.

Though, later on Facebook launched Facebook for windows, which is not a fully fledged Facebook chat client but still useful for quickly login to Facebook account.
