Facebook added Twitter like @reply Tagging Feature

in Facebook

Almost one month back Facebook acquired Friendfeed and we are still waiting for some major launch from Facebook. Though for now it’s nothing related to Friendfeed, but its something to do with Twitter.

Facebook has added a cool new feature in which you can add a @reply   message similar to twitter while posting anything on your wall.   This new tagging feature is great and will add more interaction into Facebook.

Probably a great addition from facebook. Facebook lite was another recent addition and tagging feature like Twitter will boost the ongoing conversation on Facebook.

According to Official Facebook blog post

Friends you tag in your status updates will receive a notification and a Wall post linking them to your post. They also will have the option to remove tags of themselves from your posts. We hope that tagging your status updates and others posts from the Publisher will enable you to share in a more meaningful and engaging way, and connect with even more people

Here is a live screenshot of This new tagging feature from my facebook Profile.

I personally a big fan of facebook because of many personal and work related reasons. If you have not unleashed the power of Facebook probably you should see my related posts on Facebook and this post from Smashing Magazine How to Integrate facebook with Wordpress.

What do you feel about this new twitter like Tagging feature from Facebook? Will it be good, better or just another additional feature?
