Few months back I talked about Digg, in which I mentioned Stop Shouting on Digg

Digg shout feature has been misusing the big time and finally Digg removed the shout feature in Digg.

If you don’t know about Digg, do refer to my previous guide on

Digg : The beginners guide

Not to forget that removal of shout feature from Digg is followed by , two recent updates from Digg

Digg integrates with facebook using facebook connect

Experience Digg with Digg toolbar : Diggbar

I personally feel that removal of shout feature in Digg is a great move as it was being misused by spammer. Digg replaced the Shout feature completely with Twitter, Email and facebook feature. You can click on any of the three option and easily share any story either on Twitter, facebook or send via Email.

Out of all these three, I find tweet feature to be more effective, since most of Digg users are more active on Twitter then facebook.

digg_twitter

So it’s time now to start adding Digg users on twitter and look after each other tweets carefully.

oh! Good move by digg..
the shout feature helped all digg users to know about stories submitted by their friends. certainly, it was too good for spammers!
so, serious diggers stopped hiding their shouts and receiving shouts!
in short,
implicit sharing is now disabled! and explicit sharing is more enhanced!
and digg is so smart that it shrinks the url to digg.com/xyz!
so if the person shares any digg stories via twitter it is good for digg!
soon we will be able to see DIGG in the Rising/Current Trends of twitter!

Yes, this is a great move. I got regular shouts from users and when i checked the link ,many time i got spammers or useless information, this is very annoying. Thanks to digg for removing the shout feature and thanks to Harsh for giving the important news :-)
