Google launches a Digg like voting service call What’s popular to Google gadget.

According to Google

What’s Popular uses algorithms to find interesting content from a combination of your submissions and trends in aggregated user activity across a variety of Google services, like YouTube and Google Reader.

Again google is trying to develop copy cat service.
No doubt google will deliver a best products but internet mob are intelligent enough to use the innovation out of clones. :P

Goolge will have a lead there, since most of Internet savvy people have Google account. If they think to take it to next stage it will have instant users for their service.
By now almost 3K people are part of it.

I don’t like it. In theory a good idea but can result in rather skewed SERPs results

And makes a nonsense of SEO
