Bookmark Synchronization in Google Chrome

in Browsers

From last few months I have become a great fan of Google chrome because of its speed. No doubt Mozilla Firefox is always there because of its useful extension and glad Google chrome is also coming up with some nice extensions. I always missed Bookmark synchronization feature in Google chrome, and every time I have to format my laptop I have to manually take the backup of my bookmarks. Mozilla Firefox has a very useful addon call Foxmarks a Bookmark and Password synchronization addon and later on it was renamed as xmarks.

Google  released its latest beta version of Chrome browser which has inbuilt synchronize my bookmarks settings which will let you save your bookmark online using your Google Id. The process of taking bookmark is very simple and specially if you work on different computers, lets say office and home. This bookmark synchronization feature will be very handy for you.

Here is a video from Official Google chrome team, telling you about this new Bookmark synchronization feature of Google chrome.

Well Harsh,

XMatks has some other advantages too !

♥ It displays a summary in Google Search Results (the way Bing does in RHS) when a link is already bookmarked by some one else on the net by XMarks !
♥ Summary also includes rankings and a snapshot !

Nice tool. Still it can’t beat Mozilla Weave for Firefox. Coincidentally posted an article on the very same topic on my blog today! Cheers :)

I’ve been waiting for Chrome to catch up just a little bit when it comes to add-ons. No doubt Chrome has exceptional performance but it still doesn’t make up for the time Firefox saves me with all the extras.

IMO there is no fight between these two.. both of them have their advantage and disadvantages. Like chrome is fast but again addon is missing, Firefox has addon but lags a lot.

This is a very innovative step by Chrome Lab, I have exported all my bookmarks to my other computer.
Chrome is expanding its reach by adding new features in its gallery though it is far away from Firefox in terms of addons.
