  1. Its good to see that blogger is going through many changes as it has to compete with platforms like WordPress.A few days back blogger introduced template designer which is also a very nice tool for the people who don’t know css and html.

    • Yah Asad, I agree with you on template designer feature. Though I don’t use Blogspot but today when I looked at it, while testing this feature, I really felt tempted. Though Blogger should also concentrate on Self hosted kind stuff like what WordPress has.

  2. Nice to see that blogger added this as a inbuilt function. When i was using blogger I used different html codes to get social media sharing buttons in my blog.

    • I understand Sathish, specially for non coders, this is really hectic… Glad they added this feature.. Will love to see increasing traffic for my BlogSpot bloggers via Social networking sites.. :)

  3. blogspot is making quite a few innovations to keep their service going but i do not think they will be available to survive…

    • Tushar it will be too early to judge, with the feature BlogSpot is coming up, I think they going to survive more.. Though only thing they should also take care of is, some self hosted solution or SEO optimization option. :)

  4. Hi Harsh,

Thanks for giving us this update. But I am facing a problem, I tried adding it but cannot see it under my posts. Is it because I have a custom template…

If you could help me..it would be great.
    Thanks

    • Lazy Pineapple its hard to go ahead with this method.. Since u r using custom template… U need to add codes to achieve social bookmarking icons around your post.

  5. That was nice to see it with in build , else if any other extra code is added it will take long time for site to get loaded.

And the New theme options are amaze in blogger, user can easily design the position of sidebar with out peeping into Code

  6. thanks for this useful information Harsh….Blogspot’s this new addition is a gift for bloggers like me who are not very good at adding html code.

  7. I’m using a custom template so I am in need of the code to add this to my custom template.

I tried to just put a tick in the box but this didn’t work.

If anyone has this code to add this new feature please share it w/ me.

  8. hey guys it doesn’t work,i have activated it in my blog posts, you can check it doesn’t appears,so this feature is useless ….!!!,just manually add widgets to blogger blogs[my opinion].

    • for those who using custom templates might come cross with discrepancies ,you could easily fix it with two lines adding following code ”

      ” below “” hope this helps .

  9. Thank you for this information, I have a been looking at various types of blogging platform, blogspot, wordpress etc. Would you recommend Blogger or is there a more flexible solution?

  10. I’m not a blogspot user but I do some blogs I wrote on blogspot, I’m kind of comfortable with weebly, I need to learn blogspot as most of my friends sugest it because they told me it has so many functions and you can edit it anyhow you want. That why I love reading your articles so that I can learn a lot about blogspot.
    Thanks
