I will start with defining Blog Network. Many might be aware of what blog networks are but for those who don’t know they are a network of blogs wherein the blogs are categorized according to their niche.
At times you might have seen tags of such networks somewhere in the sidebar or in the footer section gracefully placed to show off their participation in top notch networks with PR 7 or 8. Although it is good idea to become a member of such networks however very few are actually able to capitalize on them.
My point here is, there is nothing wrong in being a member of Blog Networks but the essence lies in actively participating in them. You can’t and shouldn’t expect your blog to be popular within a day of becoming a member and attracting traffic overnight.
You need patience and more importantly active participation. Think as if the blog network is a social gathering and you have been invited to it for the first time. The more you converse with other people, more will be familiar to your blog and more people will be interested in visiting your blog and re-visit if you have that edge over your rivals !

I agree Paritosh… I have registered at blog directories like Mybloglog and blog catalog but have not utilized them till date…
You need to converse with people at these directories and mae your presence felt.. then I’m sure over a period of time you will be able to get traffic from these directories..
