    Windows XP Auto Login: How to Configure

    Windows is one of the most popular and used OS and to ensure the security, we all uses a strong password to login into your XP user account. Here I’m going to share How you can configure Windows XP Auto Login using user accounts option. This feature will help you to save your time with login into your windows user account. Though, if you share your computer/laptop with anyone, I would not suggest you to activate Windows XP auto login feature as it might create a privacy issue.

    If you are an individual and no one else have physical access to your computer, you can enable this feature to save your time with login. So lets move ahead with our guide on Windows XP Auto log on feature:

    Step by step guide to configure Windows XP auto login:

    Though sometime when we have personal Computer at home , automatic log on to Windows is a better option, sine only you have access to the system physically.

    How to configure Windows auto log on?

    Got o Run > type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 > click on Ok

    In the next screen , select the account you want to make it auto login. Make sure your uncheck the User must enter a username and password to login

    In the next screen it will ask you for password for the account, Fill it up and from next time when ever you will reboot your windows XP, you will be automatically logged in to your windows account.

    I have tested this feature with Windows XP Auto log on and Windows 7 Auto log on feature. If you have tried this Windows auto login feature with Windows Vista or Windows 8, Do let us know.
