5 websites to create web 2.0 graphics like button and icons

First of all thanks to Harsh for inviting me to write a blog post as through Shoutmeloud. For all those of who don’t know me, I am a Full time professional blogger and web architecture consultant who runs MWolk Blog and India Blogs.

Now you don’t need to install any special software for creating professional web2 graphics like buttons, icons. You can create these graphics online and within minutes. Don’t worry, you are not required to be an expert, even novice users can play with these online tools in ease.

MycoolButton

MyCoolButton “ MyCoolButton is a 100% free online web2 style button creator. You can create your own button just in 4 simple steps as follows

1. Shape – You can select the shape you want for your button like full square, rounded corner square etc. Next you need to set the dimension just by dragging a slider. Button size will be proportional to height and width.

2. Color – Here you can set custom color for the button and also your can select background color if needed.

3. Text – In this step you can put your text. It also allows you to set your own size and color. Also you can select font form a range of around 50 inbuilt stylish fonts.

4. Icon “ This is the final stage and you can optionally choose icons for your button. You can select from available icons or you can set your own by uploading it.

That’s all. now click the button to download. Output is available in PNG format.

iconfu “ iConfu is free online icon editor. You can create your own custom icons simply like a desktop editor. It has inbuilt RGB and HSV color palette with advance tool support. Not only that, you can also create animated icons as   well. iconfu allows you to download the finished icon in standard PNG, GIF and ICO format with transparency. Additionally iconfu comes with a huge open source icons library containing over 20000 great icons.

Web2Button Maker “ You can create modern web2 style buttons online with Web2Button Maker. Initially you can choose from over 100 inbuilt templates. Interface is very easy and you are allowed to place left and right icon on the button. But, this application doesn’t support additional fonts for text.

Pixel Button Creator

PixelButtonCreator “ Pixel Button Creator helps you to create very simple 2 block buttons. You can put your own text and colors for both sides. Output button can be downloaded in GIF or PNG format. It’s a good application for creating very light weight pixel buttons.

FavIconCreator “ Now you can draw you own custom Fav icon online with a free application from Somacon. It has an inbuilt 16 color palette with 3 mode drawing screen “ Close, Normal and Large. Optionally you can also make the output Fav icon transparent. Downloadable format is ICO.

well cooltext is not very web 2.0 you see :) though CT is the oldest logo creation site imo, sad that they didn’t changed the logo offerings much
