Bloggers can’t think life without Google and there is no surprise in that because Google have lot of things to offer like best search engine, Blogspot, Buzz, YouTube and Gmail which is packed with many features. One of the useful features of Gmail is its gadget feature.
More about Gmail:
There are many Gmail gadgets for bloggers to increase productivity. I am using 5 such Goggle gadgets which really help me to save time and stay productive. In case you are not aware how to activate Google gadget in Gmail, then here are simple steps.
- Go to Settings and Click on Lab.

- Enable “Add any gadget by URL” and save settings.

- After enabling, you will get a new tab “Gadgets” in Gmail Settings.
- You just need to enter the URL of the required gadget and start using them from sidebar of your Gmail.
- After enabling Gadgets in Gmail, you can use the following URLs to use social networking websites directly from your Gmail.
Here are 5 useful Google gadgets for bloggers:
Mini Feed Reader:
Mini Feed Reader helps you to monitor all important feed related to news or blog in you Gmail itself. Just add the gadget URL and you will see a small feed reader on left side of your Gmail. By default, you will get feeds from CNN but you can add any blog feeds by clicking the wrench icon, and pasting in the RSS feed URL for your preferred feed.

Sticky notes:
This is something must for bloggers, we keep on getting useful post ideas and noting it down right in Gmail is always good. With sticky notes you can write any important task, to do list or reminders at Gmail sidebar.

Bit.ly URL Shortener:
With Bit.ly URL Shortener you can easily get the shortened URL of any link and you can share that link with your friends via email, chat or social networks.

Flickr:
We all know that images are best way to enhance your posts and it gives an attractive look to your post. When it comes to select images for my articles, I prefer to use Flickr and with Flickr Gadget for Gmail it becomes easier to search images.

Though I was aware of the feature I never tried it. I’ll give it a try as a few of the gadgets, especially the sticky notes gadget, may prove extremely helpful in day to day activity.
Agree Basant, Sticky notes is a gadget which i found very useful. we are online on Gmail whole day, what would be better than noting anything in Gmail, its very handy.
Useful tip. Though using gmail for quite sometime, was not aware of this. I’ll try to add the gadgets.

These are really useful gadgets but I think it will slow down the opening of your Gmail Account if you are using low speed internet connection.
