In the previous article where I wrote about Tynt, I had to embed a video in it. So, I searched for one on YouTube – the ultimate space to upload and videos on the web. Well, I logged in to my account and was amazed to see some cool new features added to my dashboard – Video Edits, 2D to 3D Video conversion and above all, there’s no time limit on videos being uploaded for a properly verified account. So, I decided to write a quick post about the newly enabled features which I encountered on Youtube.
2D to 3D Video Conversion
YouTube announced a one click 2D to 3D video converter for their users. The 3D version is under beta and the effect, obviously, will be visible only to users who have 3D lenses/screens. Well, the video will open in 3D even if you don’t have a 3D lens with you:) To check out this feature, just choose one of the videos which you uploaded and select “Edit Info” and hit 3D video. That’s it!

Other Video Editing Features

Well, a majority of the videos uploaded on Youtube are amateur level footage. To keep the users excited, they launched this cool new video edit feature wherein the user has the options to stabilize the video, rotate the video, enhance the color & contrast and so on.. There’s a cool new feature called as “I’m Feeling Lucky” which will, by default, correct the colors with one click.
I just found that the team from YouTube had worked with Picnik (the online image editing tool) team which Google acquired last year, to add artistic effects/filters on the videos. The video conversion process shall commence once you save the video after you make the modifications of your choice. The biggest advantage is that, if you are unhappy with the results after the modifications/editing, you can simply revert back to the original version by canceling the new changes:)
In case if you are not aware, you can add your adsense on videos uploaded by you and make money from your videos. For more info, read:

Do note that the video IDs for your already uploaded will remain the same even after you make some changes to the video to ensure that your comments and share counts are not lost. So, just login to your Youtube account and play with the new effects. Do let us know what you enjoyed the most via comments.
