0.Facebook.com: Facebook Mobile site with No Data transfer Fees

Some time back we told you about facebook lite site which was launched for low-bandwidth users. Though it was shut down after a while and today facebook announced the launch of new mobile site 0.Facebook.com.

The major feature of o.facebook.com is, it will be free to use from certain mobile operators around the globe. For example  in India, if you use Reliance or Videocon connection, you will not be paying any fees for accessing facebook via mobile.

Here is a list of countries along with Mobile operators via Techcrunch.

facebookmobile thumb I find it very useful as Facebook is growing and this new feature will make it reachable to those part of globe, who could not access Facebook due to high data transfer rate. But I will love to see more mobile operators offering this, specially for India, where MTNL, BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone are popular one.

Do let me know your reaction about using Facebook for free on your GPRS enabled handset?
